Kingfisher Creek Lodge is a small, intimate bush lodge located on the borders of the Kruger National Park, with only three private, tented suites, the Lodge is perfect for a quiet breakaway or a small group of family or friends.

Located in the Guernsey Private Nature Reserve, itself a popular haven for wildlife, Kingfisher Creek Lodge offers three luxury tented suites and a two-bedroomed self-catering cottage.  Each of the Tented Suites have an en-suite bathroom with outdoor showers and decks facing the African bush.

Full Day Kruger National Park (Full Day)
Enjoy a full day guided tour of the Kruger National Park. Experience the thrill of watching some of the world's largest animals in their natural habitat. An early collection from Kingfisher Creek will allow you to view the animals while they are most active. Experience the sights and smells of the bush from an open top safari vehicle. The rate includes entrance fees to the park.

Guernsey Bush Walks and Game Drives
Located out of the rush of the busy reserves where game drives & walks are frequented by large groups, we offer more intimate excursions here on Guernsey. Bush walks are early morning guided walk's (to avoid the heat of the day) All activities are with experienced & knowledgeable guides who offer the full 'bush experience' rather than ticking animals off the list and moving on to the next. Game drives on Guernsey are
also available. Please enquire with reception for rates and availability. Booking in advance is highly recommended as space is limited.

Manyaleti Game Reserve (Half Day Game Drive)
The Manyeleti Game reserve is a 23,000-hectare private game reserve which borders the Kruger National Park. There are no fences between the Kruger and the Manyeleti so the game can roam freely, however, the volumes of people are significantly less here so you can enjoy a quieter game viewing experience.  Most Manyeleti drives depart at 2pm and return you to the lodge in time for dinner. An early morning Manyeleti drive can be arranged subject to availability. Don't forget your binoculars!

The Panorama Route (Full Day)
The Panorama route is home to the Blyde River canyon which is the third largest canyon in the world. After collection at Kingfisher Creek your tour begins at the spectacular 3 Rondawels, overlooking the canyon and from there, you slowly work your way along the various scenic beauty sights that encompass the Panorama route.

For those seeking adventure an additional stop can be requested in Graskop to experience the adrenaline of a 68-metre freefall at 180 km/h in under 3 seconds on one of the world's highest Cable Gorge Swings  (additional cost)

Nourish Township Walking Tour
You will start the tour by walking through Sigagule Village visiting the local primary school, a creche. You will meet a Sangoma (traditional healer), try a local beer and visit some donkeys Following the walking tour, you will get to have the full experience of a delicious traditional meal, that we couldn't recommend enough! The meal consists of pap, chicken, chakalaka and home picked spinach. The meal will be hosted at
local NPO (non- profit organisation-Nourish) Hours – 10am till 1:30pm or 12pm till 3:30pm

Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre
The Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre contributes to the conservation of endangered species and the rehabilitation of injured & poisoned wildlife. Animals to be seen are: Lion, Leopard, Hyena, Cheetah, Serval, Lynx, Honey Badger, Eagles, Vultures, Wild Dogs
Tours are twice daily Monday- Saturday: 09.30 & 15:00

Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre
The Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre is a unique African wildlife facility focusing on conservation and the sustainability of rare, vulnerable and threatened species. Following an introductory presentation, day visitors will embark on an in-depth tour of the centre. Open safari vehicles with experienced guides depart every 2 hours. HESC houses a number of animal species including cheetah, African wild dog, lion, African wild cat, Ground hornbill, Sable antelope, Normal tour hours: 09h00 / 11h00 / 13h00 / 15h00

Hot Air Ballooning
Experience the magic of lighter-than-air flight near the foot of the Drakensberg Escarpment. On offer is a 1hr long flight over the scenic lowveld section of the Blyde River, 15 km West of Hoedspruit. The terrain is a mixture of farmland, private nature reserves and wildlife estates. As the sun rises, the landscape, the vegetation and, if you're lucky, some wildlife will provide photo opportunities. The pilots and crew will ensure a safe, enjoyable and informative adventure that will be one of the highlights of your visit to the Kruger to Canyons Biosphere. Rate excludes transfers.

We can also arrange a selection of relaxing and invigorating Spa Treatments in the comfort of your suite.

Day 2 – Early pickup- Full Day Kruger
Day 3- Morning Bush Walk followed by breakfast, Pool time, Collection for Manyeleti Safari at 14:00 , Return 18:00
Day 4- Panorama Day Trip- Collection at 08:00- Return at 16:00- Visit Gods Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, 3 Rondawels, Lisbon Falls.
Day 5- Check out 10:00.

Hoedspruit is a real "Safari Town" and often the gateway for many visitors to the Kruger National Park and the adjacent Private Game Reserves.

Eastgate Airport is a convenient gateway for visitors with connections to Johannesburg and Cape Town for guests who are not flying in privately to Lodges own airstrips.

The area is also an excellent base to explore some of the stunning natural attractions of the area such as the Blyde River Canyon, Bourkes Luck Potholes, God's Window and the Lisbon Falls.

Hotel Health & Safety Policy

Each of our Accommodation Partners has a distinct Health & Safety Policy in place which can be found below.  Please be advised, though, that this can differ from property to property.

Adriatic Luxury Hotels | Croatia

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have introduced precautionary measures at all our hotels to ensure the stay with us is safe and relaxed.

Within the hotel, we have increased sanitary and hygienic measures including the disinfection and sanitation of all hotel areas. Our measures include:


  • Ensured designated space 1,5 m of between guests at the reception during check-in, re-arranged furniture to allow suitable space for social distancing throughout the property

  • Signage and distance markers in place in key areas to remind guests on social distancing protocols and precautionary protocols

  • Disinfection of guests’ luggage upon arrival

  • Temperature check for all guests and employees may be expected upon arrival

  • Valet services delivered in accordance with precautionary protocols, though self-parking is recommended, when possible

  • Use of personal protective equipment during interaction with guests (front office staff, restaurant staff, wellness staff)

  • Hand sanitizer stations installed throughout public areas at guests’ high-contact points and in back-of-house areas

  • Enhanced sanitation procedures in all hotel key areas

  • Increased frequency of cleaning and disinfection of public areas (including lobbies, elevators, restaurants and bars, restrooms, spa and pool areas, etc.)

  • Enhanced disinfection of floors in reception areas and restaurants

  • Frequent disinfection of the elevator control panel and staircase handrails

  • Frequent disinfection of handrails on chairs

  • Heightened cleaning and sanitation protocols for public restrooms

  • Limited occupancy of elevators (up to 2 people), unless it is a family group

  • Provision of protective masks and gloves for our guests on request

  • COVID-19 awareness, education, and training of all employees

  • Removal of lobby brochures, magazines, and newspapers to reduce areas of potential cross-contamination (all publications are available on request as a personal copy)


  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols in guest rooms focusing on high-touch points in guest rooms (including light switches, door and window handles, remote controllers, thermostats, water faucets, hangers etc.)

  • Collateral paper items in guests’ rooms have been minimized (note pads & stationery, hotel collateral, print magazines, guest directory) and converted into digital format for your convenience

  • Linen and towels in guests’ rooms are changed on daily basis (may vary by property)

  • Extra blankets have been removed from guest rooms and are available on request

  • Daily housekeeping service during a guest’s stay may be modified in accordance with guest requirements

  • Contactless option for drop-off and pick-up at door available for room service delivery


  • Food and beverage services have been adjusted in accordance with current safety recommendations

  • Enhanced food safety and hygiene protocols

  • Guests are kindly requested to wait to be seated

  • Restaurants mainly providing a-la-carte service, where possible. Where buffet service is offered, no self-service will be available while guests will be served by a chef at buffet stations

  • Restaurant/Bar seating allocated to safeguard social distancing

  • Disinfection of buffet tables after each service

  • Menus replaced by disposable/’easy to clean’ forms or in digital formats

  • Daily deep disinfection of hotel kitchen areas

  • Reservations at hotel restaurants are not mandatory, but highly recommended


  • Furniture set-up in wellness/beach area rearranged to encourage social distancing protocols

  • Increased frequency of cleaning and disinfection of wellness areas (massage rooms, workout machines, handrails in swimming pools, spa & sun lounges)

  • Hand sanitizer stations installed at high-contact areas and in treatment rooms

  • Reservations for spa treatments (by phone) are mandatory

  • 30 minutes in between treatments is ensured for deep disinfection and cleaning

  • Use of sanitary masks within wellness area is mandatory for both guests and employees

  • Wet saunas are put out of order

  • Pre-pool showering is mandatory


We will be updating the above measures in accordance with the changes with the COVID-19 situation and in accordance with Croatian Government guidelines.

All our employees and hotel staff are familiar with all the prescribed procedures in this situation and are educated to provide information and help to our guests if needed.

We are closely monitoring the development of the situation and are ready to introduce any new measures that are necessary to keep our guests and employees safe and well.
